Darrin, You Forgot Your Lunch

Beep Beep Beep! Darrin’s alarm clock always rang at exactly 6:00. Beep Beep Beep! The alarm continued. Click! Darrin turned off his alarm. He did his usual things-put on his clothes, brushed his teeth, and ate his breakfast- until he went out the door without his lunch. When he got into bus 1824, he realized he forgot his lunch. “Come on!” he yelled to himself. He slapped his legs.
At lunch time he used his emergency $4.00 that he always carried in his backpack, to buy a hamburger, fries, broccoli, and a juice box. He sat next to his buddy, Michael, who was enjoying his homemade macaroni and cheese that his mom packed in his not-forgotten lunch. “I wish I never forgot my lunch,” he sighed.
RaRiiiiing!!! RaRiiiiiing!!! The bell for dismissal rang. When Darrin got into his mother’s car he said, “I forgot my lunch.” “Oh,   Darrin,  what am I going to do with you?” she replied.
Darrin put on his pajamas and jumped into his bed, literally. He thought about his mother’s words. “Maybe remind me to take my lunch,” he mumbled. Then, he fell asleep.
Before the beeping started, Darrin got up and shut off his alarm. He  did his usual things and almost went out the door, then stopped himself. He ran, though he knew not to, toward the refrigerator and pulled out his lunch. He smiled happily, knowing he didn’t forget his lunch.
